Which audio format should you pick?
MP3 plays on every device and is the safe default; ClipKoala always encodes it at 320kbps, the highest bitrate the format supports. M4A (AAC) sounds about the same at smaller file sizes and is the native format for Apple devices. WAV is uncompressed and large, useful when you plan to edit the audio. FLAC is lossless compression: the exact original audio at roughly half the size of WAV, ideal for archiving music.
Whichever you choose, the conversion runs on our servers and streams to your browser as soon as it is ready. Nothing is installed on your device.
